Overview

White granular solid with smooth and shiny surface, hard and dense.
Polyoxymethylene can be divided into two categories: homopolyoxymethylene and copolyoxymethylene. Polyoxymethylene is a linear crystalline polymer with very few side chains containing (-CH2-O-) chain link molecules in the main chain. Copolyoxymethylene is relatively homogeneous. Formaldehyde has good thermal stability, and other properties are basically similar.
POM combines high hardness, strength, resilience, and sliding friction
The relative density of pure resin is 1.41, the glass transition temperature is -80~-40℃, the melting point is 165~175℃, the long-term use temperature is 95℃, and the thermal decomposition is >238℃

◆ Self-lubricating, low friction coefficient and low wear
◆ Excellent chemical resistance, especially oils, alkalis, and inorganic drugs

◆ High resistance to repeated impact and excellent elastic recovery

◆ Low water absorption-the finished product size is stable and good
◆ The molding surface can achieve high gloss

Disadvantage
◆ Poor acid resistance and strong oxidants
◆ It is easy to cause thermal decomposition under high temperature for a long time during processing
◆ No self-extinguishing
◆ The hydrolysis resistance is not good enough (hot water cannot exceed 80℃)
◆ Large forming shrinkage
◆ Poor weather resistance
