Overview

Polymethyl Methacrylate (Polymethyl Methacrylate) is abbreviated as PMMA, also known as "acrylic" or "plexiglass". The thermoplastic resin made with methyl methacrylate (MMA) as the main raw material is the best organic transparent material with good weather resistance and high gloss.
The light transmittance of transparent PMMA products such as parts and plates can reach 92%, and the loss of light transmittance caused by reflection on each plane is 4%. This value has reached the highest limit in physics and can transmit X-rays. And Y rays, its flakes can transmit α rays and β rays. PMMA has better performance in restoring its original size from the optical memory when cooled at a high temperature than glass
Weather resistance experiments around the world have confirmed that PMMA can give products excellent weather resistance and excellent anti-aging characteristics. It is not easy to turn yellow, not easy to wear, and its performance will not be reduced or degraded. After 240 hours of accelerated aging, the transmittance can still reach 92. %, it only drops to 88% after 10 years of outdoor use, and it can transmit ultraviolet light with a wavelength above 270nm.
PMMA products not only have a comfortable touch when touched, but also have the greatest surface hardness. Their scratch resistance and abrasion resistance are among the best of all thermoplastics. Even after long-term use, it can maintain a high degree of gloss.
